About this demo

A spec build, shown honestly

Strop & Steel Barber Co. is not a real business. I'm Chavez Digital Works — I build and look after websites for Aurora,Aurora small businesses, and this shop is my working answer to a question barbers actually ask: what does the Growth plan get me?

The pitch this site proves: a customer finds your shop at 10 PM, sees real prices, and books tomorrow's cut without calling. Try it — the booking flow works end to end and tells you plainly at the finish that no appointment exists.

Each page, and the plan feature it proves

Book a chair

Online booking wired into your site

The full flow — service, barber, time — as a working demo that ends in a labeled sample confirmation instead of a real appointment.

Services & prices

A site built around public prices

Every price visible, rendered from one content file. Changing a price is a one-line edit — covered by your five monthly edits.

Reviews

Review requests by text and email

The exact message customers get, the four-step flow, and the rules it never breaks (no gating, no fake reviews).

The cuts

Quarterly content pages + monthly listing photos

A gallery page structured for real in-shop photos — the same shots that keep your Google listing fresh each month.

Hours & location

Your Google listing, claimed and correct

Hours live in one file and render on every surface, including the live "open now" status. On a live site they sync with your listing.

Every page

Hosting, security, and speed as table stakes

Self-hosted fonts, zero trackers, a locked-down content-security policy, and pages a mid-range phone paints in about a second.

What's real, what's placeholder

  • Real: the prices and hours behave exactly as a live site's would; the booking experience, review flow, and page speed are the product.
  • Placeholder, on purpose: the shop name (verified fictional against Denver-metro listings before launch), the street address, the (720) 555 phone number — a range reserved for fiction — the generated availability, and every labeled photo slot.
  • Absent, on principle: testimonials, star ratings, "est. 19XX" heritage, stock photos, AI-generated people, and trackers. If it isn't true or isn't yours, it doesn't ship.

Every spec note on this site

Online booking — the Growth plan’s centerpiece
A customer finds this shop at 10 PM, sees the price, and books tomorrow's cut without calling. This flow is a working demo of that experience — on a live site it's wired to your real calendar. Included in Growth at $159/mo.
Every price public
No "call for pricing" anywhere. Publishing the wall board online is the whole thesis: people book when they know what it costs. Your menu renders from one file — a price change is a one-line edit, covered by your monthly edits.
The review engine
After each visit, the Growth plan asks every customer for a Google review by text or email — the same ask for everyone, never filtered, never faked. It's included in Growth; on its own it's $79/mo.
Your Google listing, kept alive
Growth includes monthly posts and fresh photos on your Google Business Profile — the listing a customer actually sees at 10 PM. The same photo habit fills the cuts gallery on this site.
A page that grows every quarter
Growth adds a new service or content page every quarter. For a barber shop that’s pages like this look book — structure now, real in-shop photos as they’re taken. No stock photos, no AI-generated people, ever.
Hours and location, impossible to miss
Hours live in one file and render everywhere — header, footer, visit page, booking flow. When you change your Saturday close, every surface updates at once, including the "open now" status.
What’s placeholder here
The street address and phone number are deliberate fakes (a reserved fiction phone range), the availability calendar is generated, and the photo slots are labeled honestly. Everything else — prices, hours, booking experience — works exactly as it would for your shop.
